I had to replace my hard drive and i loaded Windows 7 operating system but now i dont have wifi connection and also when i plug a data cable into the laptop it doesnt work. just get a message saying drivers missing.
Ive downloaded numerous drivers but none want to work

You need this ethernet (wired) driver for your notebook:

HP could have installed one of several different model Wi-Fi adapters so I don't know which model Wi-Fi adapter your notebook has.
Go to the device manager.
When a Wi-Fi card needs a driver, there will be a device labeled as a Network Controller.
Look for the Network Controller entry and post the hardware ID for it so I can figure out what driver it needs.
