I need a recommendation for a internal Dual band wireless network card replacement for an HP Probook 4540s

Hi:
Your notebook has a BIOS whitelist which prevents the installation of any wireless card other than those listed in the service manual.
They must also have the HP part number on the card or they will not work.
Looking a chapter 3, page 29, the only dual band wlan card option there is would be the
Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235, with bluetooth. HP Part # 670292-001

I would check eBay for used but tested and working cards. Query by the part number, and only buy a wlan card where you see the part number clearly listed in the photograph.
It will usually be on a white sticker 'Replace with HP Spare..."

You're very welcome.
It should be a decent card. I had the 6230 which was the older revision. Worked great for me.
