Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

we buyed 12 EliteBooks 650 G9. Now we find out, that this Notebooks are configured without the WLAN/Bluetooth module.

So my first idea was to buy and install the INTEL NIC WI-FI6E AX211 2230 2x2 No vPro module.

But the Laptop did not recognize, that the module is installed. In the BIOS there is no availabilty to activiate the module.

So I think it is blocked by the BIOS? Is there any way to activite the module or setup another BIOS?

This is a really awful problem, what to do with 12 Laptops without WLAN/Bluetooth..... I can not accept that there is no possiblity to upgrade the Laptops.

I hope somebody will know a workaround to handle that problem.

Thank you!

Sabine

Hi:

No Intel card ending in a '1' will work in the notebook unless it came with one from the factory.

That is because the Intel cards ending in a '1' are CNVio and will only work in notebooks that support that type of Wi-Fi card.

What Are the Intel® Integrated Connectivity (CNVi) and Companion...

I suggest you buy one of these cards and test it out...it is not a CNVio Wi-Fi adapter.

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 802.11ax 2 × 2 + Bluetooth 5 (non-vPro)   HP part # L35282-002

If that part number is hard to find, then this one should also work...

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # L35282-005
