New 360 Envy does not find my Brother mfc825dw printer my Dell desktop, IPad, Motophone and kindle work fine. Gmail on windows desktop originally did not work a tech added gmail 2 and it has worked on all my devices except the new 360 Envy. All I get is hotmail notifications which is the same as my original gmail on the Dell. I tried linking gmail with gmail 2 no difference?
Thanks for any help you can provide

Welcome to the HP User Community.
We have rules against using some email address identifiers in messages - it seems silly when you read "bleep".
What? The community is continually overrun by rats looking for a way to trick users into contacting them so the rats can steal money or worse.
So, the "bleeps" in messages take the place of email address identifiers...
If your Brother printer accepts SMTP mail,
If the sender address you are trying to use is a G-Mail email address,
(then)
It is possible that your email connection is encountering the restriction placed on "Less Secure Apps" by Google.
If that is the source of the problem
(then)
The solution is to accept what Google requires > Use 2-Step verification > Create and Assign an App Password
Why would this be a problem for one computer and not another computer?
No idea - 2-Step verification is not a "computer brand" restriction.
Not the solution? Ignore it - we offer the information as FYI.
What else?
Perhaps your brother printer requires a mail client software to be installed on the computer.
HP printer software needs this when using the full driver printer software and scan-to-email.
The HP printer application wants the sender's email address to be added to Windows Mail.
Do these ideas have anything to do with a Brother printer?
No idea - just something you can check at the Brother printer support website.
About Google and "Less Secure Apps"
NOTE: The video won't help, of course - the information is for an HP Printer...
FYI...
Scan to Email – Two-Step Verification and Application Password
Notice from Google
Less secure apps & your Google Account
This video will quickly show you how to set up scan to email with an HP printer with G-mail AND keep the 2-Step verification security feature. App Passwords
Set up Scan to Email HP Printer with 2 Step Verification on G-mail and Google
Steps
Log into your Google Account
Open your Google Security Webpage
Next, if not done, Switch ON 2-step verification
Next, Complete the steps to open your mail security settings
and
Create / Select app and (then) create your app password
- At the bottom, choose Select app and choose the app you using > Select device and choose the device you’re using > Generate.
- Follow the instructions to enter the App Password. The App Password is the 16-character code in the yellow bar on your device.
- Tap Done.
Tip: Most of the time, you’ll only have to enter an App Password once per app or device, so don’t worry about memorizing it.
Assign / set that new App Password in your Scan to Email profile as the password.
Save and Test
