Hello,

I don’t see the Wi-Fi icon on my laptop. After trying several steps, I suspect that the Wi-Fi adapter might be disabled in the BIOS.

Could you please guide me on how to enable the Wi-Fi adapter in the BIOS?

Thank you for your assistance!

Hello,

I’ve installed everything as recommended, but Wi-Fi still isn’t showing up. Could it be that the Wi-Fi adapter is disabled in the BIOS? If so, could you guide me on how to enable it?

Thank you for your assistance!

Best regards,

NickRyBy

Try not to go through BIOS first.

Try checking in *Device Manager*, the *Network adapters* category is expanded. See what happens there. Also check on the laptop if there is a disable WiFi button like my device.

If you have checked everything in Device Manager or there is no disable WiFi button, here's how to enter BIOS:

Turn off the computer, wait 5 seconds, then turn it on and immediately press the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu opens, then press F10 to access the BIOS Setup Utility.

Once into the BIOS, look for the network settings page and click on that, or scroll through all the pages till you get to the networking page. Make sure you don't change anything but the wireless connection setting. Once that is changed (enabled) click on Save and Exit, and click Yes when asked to confirm.

I checked, there is nothing in the device manager, in the BIOS I found in the "boot" tab that the adapter was detected, but I could not find the place where to turn it on, although I seemed to have looked everywhere

In device manager, is your WiFi driver installed or not? installed or not installed?

Is it true that in the Windows settings category Network & internet, Wi-Fi also doesn't appear?

netvwifimp.inf exists or not?

No, there is nothing related to the Wi-Fi adapter.

There is nothing needed in the hidden ones either
