Hello

I recently got this laptop (second hand, of course), because I lost my primary computer. I noticed that this machine can't connect to 5 GHz networks, so I'd like to replace the original WiFi card with a dual band one. I know this is an old equipment, but I hope this community can help me decide which card I can buy to replace the old one.

Hi:

 

You can replace the current wifi card with this card...

 

Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0    HP Part # 710661-001

 

You should be able to find plenty of them for sale on eBay.

 

Search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.

 

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the wifi card removal and replacement procedure...
