HP ENVY Notebook m7-u109dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have used this Envy M7 for many years and is an excellent laptop. Win10 did a system update and now it will not connect to my mesh router via wifi. Using a wired ethernet connection works fine. I have always used an HDMI monitor connected to it. The Samsung monitor wifi works fine. There are many other devices connected to the mesh router, all work fine.

I can say with certainty the only change is the Win10 system update. It immediately would not connect wifi after a restart. I have searched for things to try other than the slash and burn techniques from "experts". I did not want to uninstall and reinstall the driver as last time I tried it was up to date since an old M7.

I could just use wired, but there is one occasion every few days I need wifi working since I telework 50% of time. I have been considering a new laptop but cannot afford for a while.  All help other than scorched earth approach appreciated.

Thanks, RNZooKeeper

The only suggestion I can offer would be to install the latest Wi-Fi driver from the Intel website.

64-bit: 19.51.50.2

Windows® 10 and Windows 11* Wi-Fi Drivers for Intel® Wireless Adapters

It should be newer than the one that is currently installed.

You can check the version of the driver currently installed by going to the device manager, click to expand the Network adapters device manager category, click on the Intel 7265 AC Wi-Fi adapter listed there, and click on the driver tab.

You don't need to uninstall the current driver.

Thank you. Worked perfectly. Existing 19.57.14.1 (5/28/2023) updated to 19.51.50.2 (11/7/2023). I restarted and wifi worked perfectly.

I greatly appreciate your clear answer which made it easy to find and quick response.
