My laptops current network card (part number 809038-001) is capped at 100mb’s, is there a gigabit version of this card?

Hi:

 

Unfortunately it would not be possible to do an internal upgrade of the ethernet adapter, since it is an integral part of the motherboard.

 

I recommend buying a USB to RJ-45 gigabit ethernet adapter and plug it into your notebook's USB 3 port.
