I am getting the above error Warning Netwtw10 6062 in (Administrative Events) every time I start or restart my laptop.
The driver for Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz is up-to-date.
I uninstalled and reinstalled it using the latest driver on HP’s website.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi @gtspeckl,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the warning for Netwtw10 6062!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check for Conflicts: Ensure there are no other network-related applications or services that might conflict with your Intel Wi-Fi driver, such as VPN clients or firewall settings.
Driver Settings Adjustments:
- Open Device Manager.
- Find your network adapter under Network adapters.
- Right-click it, select Properties, then go to the Advanced tab.
- Look for settings such as "802.11n/ac/ax Wireless Mode" and "Channel Width for 5GHz," and try different configurations to see if this resolves your issue.
Disable Fast Startup: Sometimes fast startup can cause network driver issues.
- Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power button does.
- Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable.
- Disable Turn on fast startup under Shutdown settings.
Update the BIOS: Sometimes hardware-related issues can be addressed by updating the system BIOS. Make sure your BIOS is updated to the latest version available on the HP Support website.
Check System Logs: You can use Event Viewer to check detailed logs, which might give you more specific information related to this error. Use the Event ID and other information to find resources or threads where similar issues might have been discussed and solved.
I hope this helps.

Thank you for your guidance. Sorry for getting back with you so late but it took a little time to execute the steps you provided.
I have tried all the above and still get the error. BIOS is up-to-date, uninstalled the driver as well as installed the latest net work adapter form HP website, reset the adapter.

Hi @gtspeck,
Thank you so much for getting back and trying all those steps. You did great troubleshooting already, so let’s keep digging.
The Netwtw10 6062 warning is specific to Intel Wi-Fi drivers and usually means a network adapter is experiencing a Miniport driver reset due to connectivity or power management conflicts.
Since you’ve updated BIOS, drivers, and tried advanced settings, let’s go a bit deeper:
Try these additional solutions
Adjust Power Management for the Adapter
Sometimes Windows aggressively puts the Wi-Fi adapter to sleep, which triggers this warning.
Open Device Manager → Network adapters → Right-click Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz → Properties.
Go to Power Management tab.
Uncheck: Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
Click OK, restart your laptop, and test again.
Set Roaming Aggressiveness
In Device Manager → Adapter Properties → Advanced tab → Find Roaming Aggressiveness.
Set it to Lowest or Medium-Low.
This prevents frequent driver resets due to aggressive network roaming.
Disable Modern Standby (if supported)
Some systems with Intel Wi-Fi 6 cards and Windows 10/11 use Modern Standby, which can conflict with the Wi-Fi driver.
You can test disabling it:
Run Command Prompt as Administrator and check current standby support:
powercfg /a
If it says Standby (S0 Low Power Idle) Network Connected, you can try to disable it in BIOS (if there’s an option). Some advanced BIOS setups allow switching to S3 instead of S0.
Try Intel’s OEM Driver
Sometimes the HP packaged driver can lag behind Intel’s generic driver.
Visit Intel Download Center
Download the latest Wi-Fi 6 AX201 driver directly from Intel.
Uninstall the current driver, restart, then install Intel’s version.
I hope this helps.

I performed all the steps dated 7/6/25 and the error still exist. When I ran powercfg /a it does show "S0 Low Power Idle) Network Connected" . However the BIOS does not have an option to change it. I did obtain the driver from Intel but it didn't correct the error.
I also checked my settings in my router (ASUS RT-AC1900). Since my router doesn't support AX I change the Wireless Mode from AX to AC and that didn't stop the error from occurring.

Hi @gtspeck,
Thank you so much for your detailed follow-up and for trying every step so thoroughly, you’ve done an excellent job so far. Let’s tackle this together step by step, I have a few more advanced actions that might help isolate or stop the Netwtw10 6062 warnings.
Run the Intel® System Support Utility
This tool can check for hidden driver conflicts or adapter settings.
Download the Intel® System Support Utility (SSU):
Install and run the tool.
Click Scan to collect your network adapter details.
Save the scan results as a .txt file.
Review the report for any warnings about driver conflicts or older packages not fully removed.
If you’d like, you can share a summary here (no private data!) so I can help read it.
Fully clean the old drivers with Intel® PROSet
If the old driver wasn’t fully removed, leftovers can trigger 6062 events.
Try a full cleanup:
Open Apps & Features in Windows.
Search for Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software, if you see it, uninstall it fully.
Open Device Manager → Network Adapters → Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz → Right-click → Uninstall device
Be sure to check Delete the driver software for this device if available.
Reboot.
Install the latest Intel® Wi-Fi driver again from Intel’s site.
Disable TCP Checksum Offload
Sometimes the Netwtw10 error is linked to checksum offload settings.
Device Manager → Network Adapters → Intel Wi-Fi → Properties → Advanced tab.
Look for IPv4 Checksum Offload and Large Send Offload.
Set them to Disabled.
Click OK and reboot.
Try a clean boot.
A background app or service might be causing the resets.
Press Win + R, type msconfig, and hit Enter.
In the System Configuration window:
Go to the Services tab.
Check Hide all Microsoft services, then click Disable all.
Go to the Startup tab → Open Task Manager → Disable all non-essential startup items.
Reboot and see if the error appears.
If the warning goes away, re-enable services/startup items one at a time to find the culprit.
Test a Different Wi-Fi Band
Since your router is AC only, make sure your Wi-Fi is connecting only on 5GHz AC or 2.4GHz AC, not trying to handshake in AX mode.
Open your router admin page.
Ensure the SSID you’re connecting to is set to AC only or N/AC mixed, not AX.
Forget the network on your laptop, reconnect, and test.
BIOS/Firmware double-check
You mentioned your BIOS is current, great! Please check your ASUS RT-AC1900 router firmware as well:
Log in to the router admin page.
Look for Firmware Update, update if any new version is available.
I hope this helps.
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

How do I attach the info collected from Intel® System Support Utility?
I do not have Intel PROSet is not on my system.
When I downloaded and installed the driver from Intel the following day it re-installed the old driver from HP's website.
