Failure to Recognize a router

Brand new laptop. Hp virtual help doesn’t appear to recognize model number or serial number. Laptop was able to recognize router and now will not. Is there a way to get a human being for support at HP? Have already tried suggestions in this forum from others previous posts. Hp laptop model 15-dy2024nr
