I own an HP Victus 15 Gaming Laptop that comes with the Realtek 8852BE Wi-Fi driver, and I’ve been facing persistent issues with it. The Wi-Fi speed I get on this laptop is only around 30 Mbps, whereas my older Lenovo laptop and other devices easily achieve over 100 Mbps on the same network.

After researching online, I found that many users have reported similar problems with this particular driver. I’ve already tried all the common fixes available on the internet, but unfortunately, the issue still persists.

This has become extremely frustrating, and I would really appreciate any help or guidance to resolve it.

Hi @Rahul_bachheti,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

We understand how frustrating it is when your HP Victus 15 Gaming Laptop with the Realtek RTL8852BE Wi-Fi adapter delivers much slower speeds compared to other devices on the same network. Let’s go through the recommended steps to resolve this issue.

Step 1: Update Wireless Drivers

  • Open HP Support Assistant or visit Official HP® Support.
  • Enter your laptop model and download the latest Realtek Wi-Fi driver.
  • Install and restart your laptop.

Step 2: Update BIOS

  • An outdated BIOS can affect power and network performance.
  • Download the latest BIOS for your Victus 15 from the same HP page and update it.

Step 3: Adjust Advanced Adapter Settings

  1. Press Windows + R, type ncpa.cpl, and press Enter.
  2. Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter > Properties > Configure > Advanced.
  3. Set:
    • Wireless Mode: Auto
    • Channel Width for 5GHz: 80MHz
    • Roaming Aggressiveness: Medium
    • Transmit Power: Highest

Step 4: Disable Power Saving for Wi-Fi

  • Go to Device Manager > Network Adapters > Realtek RTL8852BE > Properties > Power Management.
  • Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

Step 5: Update Windows

Ensure your system is running the latest Windows updates, as they often include network performance fixes.

Step 6: Test on 5GHz Band

If your router supports dual-band:

  • Connect to the 5GHz network for better speed and stability.
