Welcome to the HP Forums, this is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that your notebook always shows projector error. I would like to help you resolve this issue.
However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,
- Check if the buttons are stuck on the keyboard?
- When did this issue start?
- Did you do any hardware or software changes?
Meanwhile:
Do a system refresh on the notebook.
Click here and refer the document to refresh the notebook.
Let me know how it goes.
Cheers.

Hello @sandytechy20,
Thank you very much for the reply.
1. It appears that all keys are fine.
2. This issue has been started few months back
3. I have not done any Harware or Software changes yet
I have tried reinstallation option from Recovery manager and reinstall the Windows. it worked well for few weeks and that projector pop up screen did not appear but again it started appearing after few weeks. (I think may be that problem is due to updates which windows automatically took)
you have provided the link of the process of how to refresh the Pc and that option is for windows 8, will that work for Windows 10? will that Projector issue be solved?
1. One more thing some time it happens that my Pc automatically start typing letter "P" in any textbox. is there any solution for this?
2. Left side Shift+C doesn't work

Thanks for the reply.
I appreciate your time and effort.
Yes the the refresh the PC steps should work for windows 10 aswell.
I also understand the there is issue with keyboard, follow the below steps to fix the issue.
However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,
- Did you drop liquid or have any accidents with the keyboard?
- When was the last time it worked without this issue?
- Did you check with an alternate user account or an external keyboard to check if all the keys on that work?
I recommend the below steps:
- Clean the keyboard with compressed air (blow compressed air in the gaps between keys). This removes some lint and dust.
-
Shut down the laptop, remove the battery and cable for a moment, press and hold the start button for 60 seconds
-
Replace the battery, restart the notebook,
-
if the issue persists, Contact HP to set up a repair/replacement order (free of cost if covered within the HP Warranty).
Let me know if that helps.
Cheers.
