HI @Zuescronos,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand how important this is for you to use extended internet service I would request you to please follow the below steps in order to get it fixed.

Update Wireless Drivers:

  • Ensure that your notebook's wireless drivers are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the HP Support & Drivers page by entering your notebook model.

Place the Extender:

  • Position the Wi-Fi extender halfway between your router and the wireless areas in your home or office where you need a better signal. Avoid physical obstructions and interference from electronic devices.

Connect Extender to Router:

  • Follow the manufacturer's instructions to connect your extender to the router. Typically, this involves connecting to the extender's network and accessing its setup page in a browser to enter your network credentials (SSID and password).

Configure the Extender:

  • Ensure that the extender is configured to connect to your existing Wi-Fi network. Once configured, the extender will broadcast its own SSID, often matching the main network with a suffix like "_EXT" or "-EXTENDER."

Connect Notebook to Extender:

  • On your HP notebook, search for available networks and connect to the extender's SSID.

Optimize Network Settings:

  • Ensure your router is placed in an optimal location, and adjust the channel settings if you experience interference. Using a channel with less interference can improve connectivity.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your router, extender, and notebook to refresh network settings and ensure all connections are properly established.

Check Wireless Settings:

  • Ensure that both the extender and the notebook support the same Wi-Fi standards (e.g., 802.11n, 802.11ac).

Consult Extender's Manual:

  • Refer to the Wi-Fi extender's user manual for specific instructions. If available, utilize the manufacturer's customer support or online resources for additional guidance.

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!
