Hi @808080,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I can understand how frustrating it is when you're sure the password is correct, but your Chromebook just won't connect to Wi-Fi. Let's work together to figure out what's going on.

  • Have you tried connecting any other devices to the same Wi-Fi network, and are they working fine?
  • Is your Chromebook connecting to any other Wi-Fi networks, or is this issue only with your current one?
  • Have you recently changed the Wi-Fi password or updated the network settings?

Let's try these steps.

Forget and Reconnect: Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your Chromebook, click on your Wi-Fi network, and select "Forget." Then, try reconnecting by re-entering the password carefully.

Restart Both Devices: Restart both your Chromebook and your Wi-Fi router to refresh the connection. Sometimes this can resolve temporary issues.

Check for Network Interference: Ensure that there is no strong interference from other devices or networks nearby that could disrupt the connection.

Verify Network Security Settings: Double-check the security type of your Wi-Fi network (like WPA2) and ensure it matches the settings on the Chromebook. Some networks may require specific security protocols.

Update Chromebook Software: Make sure your Chromebook is running the latest software version by going to "Settings" > "About Chrome OS" > "Check for updates." Sometimes, updates resolve connectivity issues.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
