HP 15 - r050su
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Please help me find a wireless driver for HP 15 - r050su Windows 7 64-bit. It was originally with windows 8 but I installed windows 7 and now I can't use wifi. The only one driver I found is https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-15-r000-notebook-pc-series/6875200/mod... and it is not working.  This is the Hardware ID if I correctly understand how to find it

You're very welcome.

Install the latest Intel chipset driver, restart the PC, and see if that allows you to have the PC sleep.

2nd one down on the left side of the page.

Otherwise, install the latest Ralink wlan driver for W7.  Maybe some update to the driver fixed that bug.

Hi:

That is not the hardware ID for the wireless card.  That is the ID for the ethernet (wired) adapter.

Please post the hardware ID for the device you see listed as a Network Controller.

The Network Controller is the wireless card that is missing the driver.

If you also need the ethernet controller driver, download, unzip and run the setup application from the 2nd file listed at the link below...

Thank you for the answer. I don't need ethernet (wired) adapter driver. I'm sorry for the misleading information.

I think this is the hardware ID for the Network Controller

PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3290&SUBSYS_18EC103C&REV_00
PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3290&SUBSYS_18EC103C
PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3290&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_1814&DEV_3290&CC_0280

A friend of mine installed Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter and the wifi is working now but I have another problem.

I hope that you can understand the problem because my English is not very good and I don't know how to explain it better.

When I close the lid and open it again the wifi icon is with red X and I can't connect again. It starts working only after restart. I turned off "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in power management but it didn't help. I changed the lid sleeping settings to hibernate when lid is closed and it fixed the problem.

But I'll be happy if I can close the lid and it makes the notebook ''sleep'' not ''hibernate''.

I'm sorry for my late reply. I was very bussy and I didn't have time to try this solutions. I've just tried them and they didn't work but it doesn't matter. It's not a big deal and I'm going to accept this as a solution because the Ralink wlan driver is working and with the ''hibernate option'' is good enough. Thank you very much for the help 🙂 Please help me with one more thing. I know I'm hopeless and I will install Windows 8 next time for sure 😄 but now I need a bluetooth controller driver and also Intel(R) Trusted Execution Engine Interface is with yellow triangle. I don't even know if this is also a missing driver or something else. Thank you 🙂

Hi:

See if this Intel TXE driver works...

This package provides the Intel Trusted Execution Engine Interface (TXE) Driver for the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.
