HP 2000

Hello!  My HP 2000 Laptop is not recognizing our home network.  The adaptor light is on and it recognizes the neighbor buts mine is not showing up.  I tried plugging in an ethernet cable which works until I unplug it.  I also tried taking out the battery.  Please help.

Looks like your machine ONLY supports 2.4GHz networks and your home network uses 5.0GHz. Nearly all home wifi routers now support dual band (both 2.4GHz and 5.GHz).

Please allow your wifi router to broadcast BOTH bands. Its manual will show you how to do that.

Regards.
