After installing the latest Windows 10 feature update 1709, my laptop lost wireless capability. I do not even have the option to turn on wifi. Airplane Mode is off. I have a Network Controller issue in Device manager, I tried to update/install it but get this message,
"Windows encountered a problem installing the drivers for your device. Windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install them.
Broadcom BCM943228HMB 802.11abgn 2x2 Wi-Fi Adapter
Data error (cyclic redundency check).
If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit their website and check the support section for drivers."
So far I done the following things without a fix or improvement:
-Installed every network driver that is currently on the HP site (uninstalled current one before installing)
-Updated my drivers on Device Manager
-Swapped my network card from another working 350 G2 laptop
-Swapped the hard drive to the other working 350 G2 model
-Download and installed variety of drivers from other sites

Thanks @clint_flick for trying to help but I was unable to resolve it using your suggestion. However I was able to fix it using another method.
At least what works for me right now. I am not sure if it should be accepted as a permanent solution due to issues trying to update the drive through Device Manager. I still get the "Data error (cyclic redundency check)" error.
Anyways, here is the quick fix I discovered when trying to fiddle with the many drivers I had.
1) Go to: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=Broadcom+BCM943228HMB and download the Broadcom - WLAN - Broadcom BCM943228HMB 802.11abgn 2x2 Wi-Fi Adapter.
2) Go to Device Manager and right-click the Network Controller (had exclamation mark on my end) and select Properties.
3) Go to Driver tab and click Update Driver.
4) Select Browser my computer for driver software.
5) Locate the folder where the Broadcom - WLAN - Broadcom BCM943228HMB 802.11abgn 2x2 Wi-Fi Adapter was saved. Once found, select the folder and click Next.
Once I did this my Wireless finally came back online.

Hi
Lets try and out-think Microsoft, check what we have and move along...
Things that be different are Firewall settings, changed in the background and blocking things.
A possible cause/reason is because the Firewall has had changes made to it in the background, and you are not getting out to the Router to be issued with one by the DHCP part.
This also means a Fixed IP will probably fail similarly.
Possible solution....
Windows Defender Security Centre;
Restore Firewall to Default;
Then running the Network Troubleshooter .
NOW to the Adapter
This short script is to gather information on some parts of your system
OS, Networking Hardware and Software etc.
Copy and paste the section between the ~~~~ lines, and paste into NotePad.
Save as PN.bat somewhere easily accessible. Double click to Run
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
@ECHO OFF
systeminfo
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter"
PowerShell -Command "Get-NetAdapter -Name * | Format-Table -View Driver"
PowerShell -Command "GIP -Detailed"
PAUSE
I still had the issue, even after getting latest drivers from HP FTP site, via here:
[edit] (it asked to create an account, but eventually downloaded from the HP FTP site)
I would click on the WIFI icon in taskbar, "TroubleShoot Problems" , and Windows 10 OS would reset the WIFI adapter, solving the issue momentary.
I had to repeat above step, each time I wake up from a SLEEP, on my HP Desktop.
Solution #4 is what worked for me.
Even though my password was right (I know this, because a CONNECT with the saved pw, worked),
-- so #4 .. disconnect from your network and reconnect again, worked for me
