Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Since this is an AMD platform, I want to mame sure I get the proper wireless network card for my laptop. I currently have a Realtek 8188EE card installed. What is out there to upgrade to 802.11 ac/ax?

 

Any suggestions will accepted.

Hi:

 

I am pretty sure your notebook only has one wifi antenna cable connected to the Realtek 8188EE wifi card in there now.

 

All dual band HMC cards require two antenna wires for both the wifi and bluetooth to work.

 

That rules out upgrading to any dual band wifi card with bluetooth and have full functionality.

 

You can upgrade to this Broadcom AC wifi card and not have Bluetooth...

 

Broadcom BCM4352 WLAN 802.11 AC+BT4 2x2HMC   HP part # 724935-005

 

You can upgrade to this single band card and have both the wifi and bluetooth work with one antenna.

 

Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11bgn 1×1 + BT 4 LE Combo Adapter    HP part #753077-001
