Just got a 17.3 Envy from Best Buy, for school. Laptop will connect to WiFi when it first boots up but will then disconnect and fail to acknowledge any type of WiFi connection. The button disappears from my settings. The shortcuts in the bottom right corner will only display the Ethernet symbol. I have already done a network reset once and it allowed me a few hours of internet before going out again.
The things I have tried (in no particular order):
-Network reset
-Modem Reset (wasn’t necessary but did it anyways)
-Uninstall & Reinstall Wifi Driver
-Disable/Enable Driver (displays a yield ⚠️ sign)
-Press Esc + FN to run a component test on WiFi chip and got a yellow circle with ‘WARNING’
-Called HP. Only be transferred to a Smart Friend Assoc that basically told me to pay a fee before they would help, even though I am still under warranty. But no worries. It’s only $16.99 and you can cancel anytime. (Also, why is everything a subscription now? My goodness!)
-Had a glass of wine while contemplating on taking it back to BB to exchange.
I would like to stay connected to the Internet long enough to get to Intel’s website to download the latest update for my 6E AX211 WiFi chip, to see if that will help. The latest version seems to be 23.6 but I have “.20 version”
Anyone else with these issues? This is my first HP laptop. Not discouraging as much as it is annoying.

Hello Fiskfishfist010, go to device manager and uninstall the Wifi driver, then restart the computer. Next, install the driver that I left the download link and see if it solves your internet problem.
