Hi. I need to replace my wireless card because i would like to use the new dual band router I recently got on the 5GHz frequency. How can I find a compatible wifi card for my laptop? Thanks in advance for any support.
Paolo

Hi, @Arzan
You can upgrade to this wifi card with no issues whatsoever...
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0 HP Part # 710661-001
The card is readily available on eBay or Amazon, and won't cost very much.
Search by the HP part number, not by the model number of the wireless card.
You can get the latest drivers for it from the Intel website, but W10 will automatically install an older set of drivers.
It is equivalent in specs to the Broadcom AC wifi card listed in the service manual, but has better driver support.
The last driver update for the Broadcom dual band AC wifi card was from 2016 but Intel still keeps the drivers for the 7260 up to date.

Your machine was built early 2014, the chance to upgrade to newer wifi card is very slim to none. Please only use the list on page 43 of the following manual
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04091768.pdf
Worse case. USB AC wifi adapter should help

Thank you for the response. Since my country's Amazon doesn't display the HP part number, the only thing I can do is buy this one card
https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B07DJ8TG1H/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A1TMZHY2SHKLH2&psc=1
and hope it will be compatible with my laptop.
Thank you.

You're very welcome.
You can get the one with the part number I recommended on eBay-Italy...

Probably the one on the Amazon Italy site will work too, but I can't 100% guarantee it.
