Hello,
After upgrading an Envy M4 1115dx to windows 10, wi fi will not turn on. The light on the F12 key remains amber. I have attempted removing the device from device manager and updating drivers all to no avail. I ran across this thread which seems to be of a similar nature.

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c03619360
It has Ralink RT5390R 802.11bgn 1x1 Wi-Fi adapter part # 691415-001
This problem has been around for few years and I have not seen a proper fix, please try to download and install
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71571.exe
Hope this helps.

Hi
In addition to Banhien's excellent answer, I offer...
You have a WiFi ON/OFF indicator, early laptops had a software switch in the BIOS for this, perhaps you do also.
Some like like mine have an actual driver for F12, it may suit you.

Thanks to both of you for the suggestions, unfortunately still no dice. I am guessing that others that have run into this issue either write off either internal wireless or Windows 10? It just seems crazy that a laptop like this would not have drivers/fix for an OS that came out 3 years and change after it was manufactured. *sigh*
