HP Envy m4
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

I recently reinstalled Windows 8 on my HP Envy m4 and I noticed that there were a couple of device that dah issues with their drivers and one was the Ralink Bluetooth. So after searching it here and now that it has been installed, how do I make the bluetooth on my HP Envy m4 work?

Hi @JaRum517,

Welcome to HP Forums, This is a great location to get resolutions and interact with experts from the community.

I understand that you installed Window 8 on your computer and would like to know how to use BlueTooth. Kudos to you for troubleshooting and installing the Ralink(Mediatek) wireless driver. I will be happy to help you.

Request you to refer to this article, it would help you understand and use Bluetooth on your computer.

Also, I would recommend you to run/install HP Support Assistant on your computer, as it would help you install/update the drivers for your computer and also help in troubleshooting various issues on the computer and other HP devices.

Let me know if this helped or if you need any further assistance.

Thanks for the advise with the installing of HP Support Assistant but I still have not found how to enable the bluetooth on my laptop, Although previously it showed RaLink Bluetooth in the Device Manager, but does my laptop even have bluetooth capabilities to begin with since it didn't even show up in the General Specification in HP Support Assistant?

Thanks for the reply,

For me to be able to comment on whether the computer came with Bluetooth or not, I would require the product number of your computer.

Request you to provide the product number of your computer, so that I review the specifications of your computer and provide the right resolution.

Keep me posted and I hope you have a good day ahead,

Thank you for responding. These are the information of Laptop.

Product Name : HP Envy m4 Notebook
Product Number: D1D58UA#ABA

I previously can see a device named Ralink Bluetooth and was able to download a driver and installed it for that specific device. But now, I can't seem to find that in the Device Manager and I don't even know how to enable it.

Thanks!
