Folio 9470m
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a Folio 9470m that I have ordered the LT2252 WWAN card for.  I am currently running Windows 7 Pro, but plan on upgrading to Windows 10 pro soon.  According to HP's site, the LT2252 card only supports up to Windows 8/8.1 when it is upgraded from Windows 7, and not as a clean install.  I plan on clean installing Windows 10, and I can only assume the card will most likely not work.  There are obviously cards that support Windows 10, does anyone know if any of them will work in the Folio 9470m or if there are only certain ones that will?  It is going to be on the Verizon network, so it needs to be an LTE/EVDO card.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Hi:

As far as I am aware, you can only install one of the supported WWAN cards listed in the service manual.

I suggest you try the W8.1 drivers on your current WWAN card after you upgrade to W10.

Either install in W8.1 compatibility mode, or manually install the driver by browsing to the driver folder that will be created after you run the driver from the WWAN device in the device manager.

Thus far in our experience, a fresh install does not work.  Using the drivers available, the WWAN card gets added as a modem (not a network adapter) and does not show up in the list of connections.

We are still working through trying to make the mobile dialing work.  If you require mobile WAN, hold off on your upgrade with that model.
