Ever since I update to OS Sierra 10.13.2, I can't get my printer and MacBook Pro to connect. I've tried unplugging everything and removing and reinstalling the HP Officejet 5740 software. The message I get is that there is no driver compatable with the latest OS version.

Hi @Devera,

I understand that after updating the OS you are unable to print.
No worries, I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
Are you able to make a copy?
Have you tried updating the firmware for the printer?
If not click here to update the firmware.
If the issue persists, follow the below steps.
Update macOS to the most recent version.
-
Open the App Store.
-
Click Updates in the toolbar at the top of the window.
-
If an update for macOS is available, click Update, and then follow the on-screen instructions to install the update.
NOTE:
For more information about macOS updates, go to Update macOS and apps (in English).
If no update is available.
Click here for more troubleshooting steps.
Keep me posted, how it goes!
If the information I've provided was helpful.
Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
Good Luck.
