Hi:
The parts list for your notebook indicates that it comes with a Ralink RT3290 Wifi/Bluetooth adapter.
https://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=E3B55PA
That is a very common problem with that model wifi adapter. I am surprised the wifi is showing up.
There is no fix, but you have two options...
You may want to consider replacing the card with this upgraded model...
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0 HP Part # 710661-001
You should be able to find the card on eBay.
Search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.
You can also purchase an external USB Bluetooth adapter.
Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the wifi adapter removal and replacement procedure.
