Pavillion 15 most probably
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently purchased a new broadband connection - Reliance - Jio GigaFiber. They have given me a dual band WiFi router (2.4ghz and 5ghz). The problem is that although my phone and other laptops are able to find my WiFi, this HP Pavilion laptop does not detect the WiFi. I, however, am able to use the broadband if I connect my laptop with it through an ethernet cable. Please help.

What is your machine ? Most likely it ONLY supports 2.4GHz, please check your router again to see it ACTUALLY broadcasts both bands.

Normally you should see two SSID's the first one is something and the second one is something-G5 For example

Your machine can't see the first one but should be able to see the second one and you can connect to the second one.

Regards.

Until now it was not even showing the SSID of either of the bands. Now, however, it is showing the 2.4ghz one. Coincidentally, you asked me to look nicely one more time so I will give you the credits, my good sir! Thanks.
