Product: HP ZBook Studio G5
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have just purchased a HP USB-C Mini Dock for my laptop (HP ZBook Studio G5 15.6" 4K Mobile Workstation). I was hoping that when connected to the laptop and when an ethernet cable is plugged into my network and the ethernet port on the mini dock, I would have internet access. But I don't! 

Can anyone confirm if this setup should work and if so what I need to do to solve my connection issues?

it should work.

do you see a new device in Device Manager when you connect the USB-C Mini Dock ?
