HP envy x360 will not connect to wifi on setup

I just recently got an HP laptop , and I was mid setting it up , and right when it brings up the page to set up wifi , nothing shows up .

I have restarted it multiple times , and even did a full reset of the laptop , and there's been no change; 

All devices I own other than it , can connect perfectly fine to the wifi,  but no networks /period/ are showing up to the laptop

I got a wifi adapter recently for it; but obviously I can't do anything with it since I need to install the software , and can't considering I cannot get past setup
