Hi @Rawdawg1222,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding WiFi connectivity on HP Stream!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Restart Your Devices:

  • Router: Unplug your router, wait for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in.
  • Laptop: Restart your HP Stream laptop to refresh the network settings.

Check WiFi Visibility:

  • Ensure that your WiFi network SSID (network name) is set to be visible. If it's hidden, you'll need to manually enter the network details to connect.

Verify WiFi Network Settings:

  • Access your router settings and ensure that it's broadcasting on a frequency (2.4GHz or 5GHz) compatible with your laptop. Some older devices may not support 5GHz.

Update Network Drivers:

  • Access Device Manager on your HP Stream:
    • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
    • Find Network adapters and right-click your WiFi adapter, then select Update Driver.
    • Allow the system to search for updates online.
  • Alternatively, visit HP's official support page to download the latest network drivers specific to your model.

Check Airplane Mode:

  • Ensure that Airplane Mode is turned off:
    • Click on the notification icon in the lower-right corner of your screen and check that Airplane Mode is off.

Perform a Network Reset:

  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
  • Scroll down and select Network reset. Follow the prompts to reset all network settings.

Re-enter WiFi Details:

  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > WiFi.
  • Select Manage known networks and remove the problematic network.
  • Restart your laptop and try to reconnect by entering the network details manually.

I hope this helps.
