Hi:

HP could have installed one of several different wifi cards in your notebook, so in order for me to post the link to the wifi driver you need, please provide the following information...

When the wifi adapter (card) needs a driver, there will be a device showing up in the device manager labeled as a Network Controller, and it will have a little ! mark next to it.

Please post the hardware ID for the Network Controller device, so I can figure out what driver it needs.

Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device...

Hi:

You need the wired and wireless drivers...

Ethernet:

This package contains the driver installation package for the Intel 82579LM and 82579V Gigabit Ethernet Controller in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

Wifi:

This package contains Broadcom Wireless LAN driver and is required to enable the integrated Broadcom Wireless LAN adapter in supported notebook models running a supported operating system. This package also contains the Broadcom Wireless Utility application and IHV Extensions that add support for Cisco Compatible Extensions.

You will also need the bluetooth driver for that model wifi card...

This package contains the Broadcom Bluetooth driver and software for supported models that are running a supported operating system. Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 Driver is required to enable Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 devices and is compatible with Broadcom Bluetooth 3.0 and earlier versions.
