Hi Team,
I'm using an HP Pavilion g6-2320tx laptop, bought in India. The laptop is old but it works great, so I don't want to replace it. With update to a new WIFI, I don't know how I can use a 5G network on my laptop. The service manual lists below 2 dual band cards as supported for my laptop :
Atheros AR9285 802.11 a/b/g/n 2x2 WiFi adapter
Realtek 8188BC8 802.11a/b/g/n 2x2 WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0+HS Combo Adapter
But In an HP forum discussion (Solved: hp Pavilion g6 Dual Band WLAN Module Availability - HP Support Community - 5871424), HP support mentioned that these are not dual band cards.
Could someone please suggest if there's any network adapter suitable for my laptop, that will enable me to run a 5G network.

Hi:
This dual band wifi card should work in your notebook...
Broadcom BCM943228HMB 802.11abgn 2×2 Wi-Fi Adapter, Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter HP part # 730668-001.
You should be able to find this model wifi card on eBay or Ali Express.
Search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.
