I am currently connected to my wifi, but I need to somehow switch it over from wireless to hardwire by using my ethernet cord. I have researched videos and instructions on how it should be done, but none of those I saw showed the same things that appear on my specific HP laptop. So, could someone please help me get it switched over for me to be able to run a PC check for a job? I already have the ethernet cord plugged in on both ends, into my router and also into my laptop using the adapter. I just can't manage to cut the wireless off and switch it over. I get into the settings and can't find exactly where or what I need to click on from there.

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates that your notebook does not come with an ethernet port.

You will find that becoming more and more common nowadays.

If you need to connect via ethernet on your PC, you will have to purchase a USB to RJ-45 gigabit ethernet adapter.

Something like this:

Amazon.com: atolla USB to Ethernet Adapter, USB 3.0 to 1000 Gigabits Etherner LAN Network Adapter, R...
