Hi,

maybe a HP specialist is looking into this - as i did not find the answer by using a search engine.

If Intel releases a new update for their Wireless cards.. who decides if there will be a HP version of this? Or does it has to be a security update?

We are having several driver problems (disconnect from wireless, lost connection) - but if i ask Intel they say - install the latest HP driver. Which is 4 month older than the Intel drivers.

If someone knows the answer it would be great

Thanks

Stephan

Hi, Stephan:

Since this is a peer to peer forum no one here would be able to answer your question.

I suggest you contact the HP executive team at the link below and address your inquiry to them.

I have found in my almost 20 years of experience with HP business class PC's and notebooks, that HP will only update the drivers if there are reports of major issues, or a new operating system release and then up to about 5 years after the model is released.

Have you tried the latest Intel wifi driver for the model Intel wifi adapter your notebook has?

I have heard that the Intel 9560's have connection issues, but I have not heard of any other problems reported with other cards.

The current Intel cards I am using in my 3 HP notebooks are the 7260AC, 7265AC and AX200.  All work great with their respective latest drivers from Intel installed.

I always use the latest graphics and wifi drivers from Intel on my HP notebooks with Intel processors and wifi cards, and never had a problem with them.

So, I suggest you give the latest Intel wifi driver a try and see if it helps any.
