QUESTION: How to check If I have WWAN antenna in my laptop?

Manual of my laptop could suggest that all hp 8470p has antennas:

"Two world-wide/5-band WWAN antennas
built into display assembly"

How to make sure and to check if my 8470p has WWAN antenna? I'd like to buy WWAN card/module because I don't have it yet.

Yes, as long as the slot and antenna cables are there and you order a supported card with the HP part number on it, you should be good to go.

There are no W10 drivers for any of the WWAN cards on the support page, and I don't know if the W8.1 drivers will work.

I hope they do.

Hi:

Yes, the two antenna cables with the protective coverings on them are for a WWAN card.

You can only buy one of the WWAN cards listed in the service manual and it must have the HP Part number on it or it will not work.

You can probably find the one you want on eBay by searching by the HP part number.

Yes, the card goes where you indicated, but the screw(s) to hold it down are missing.

Maybe you can take one from the wireless card.  Usually they are only held down by one screw.

Does the fact that I have antenna cables mean that there is certainly a WWAN antenna in my laptop?

I have already found some WWAN cards/modules which has the right part number.

eg .:

products (probably 2 the best two):

search:

It should be possible, eventually, I try to buy a screw.
