HP Notebook - 14-am052nr (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was hoping someone could help me figure out how to download and install Internet drivers that I accidentally deleted. I'm not able to get online on my laptop and I know it's because I deleted the driver's. How do I download and reinstall them please?

According to the parts list for your notebook, it comes with a Realtek RTL8188EE-VJ 802.11b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi adapter.

HP PartSurfer

This is the latest W10 driver HP has for that model Wi-Fi adapter:

Realtek RTL8xxx Wireless LAN Drivers

Download the driver from another PC.

Copy it to a USB fash drive.

Plug the flash drive in your 14-Am052nr's USB port, and you can either copy the file to the Windows desktop and run the file or run it directly from the USB flash drive.

Hi Paul,

Thank you so much for your response. I'm a little confused though, do I have to buy the adapter in order to run the driver on my pc once I download the driver to a usb driver on a different pc? I didn't realize this mistake was going to cost me $60 dollars. I really hope I am wrong.

Thank you so much again.

You're very welcome, Jenna.

You don't need to buy anything if you already have a USB flash drive/thumb drive to copy the file to.

Okay, thank you for clarifying that.

So I did all the steps that you had mentioned. I went to the link that you had provided and copied that to a USB thumb drive, then I plugged into my laptop in question and ran and installed it. Then I restarted the PC and it's still not letting me connect to the Internet. I know for a fact my intetnet is working because I'm connected to it on all my other devices.

Do you maybe have an idea of what it might be? Because a few weeks ago I was trying to free up space on my Notebook so I started deleting a bunch of random stuff. Not too smart. I now know that. But I haven't been able to come t to the Internet since.

I have already went to go support and saved all the intent related drivers to a thumb drive and did the same process you had given me for all 7 of those drivers and that didn't work either.

Any idea what I might have to do to fix this issue?

Thank you!

You're very welcome.

Go to the device manager.

Click to expand the Network adapters device manager category.

Do you see a Realtek RTL8188EE-VJ Wi-Fi adapter listed there?

If not, the Wi-Fi adapter has probably failed and under those circumstances I recommend you purchase a USB Wi-Fi adapter.

I use this model on my HP desktop PC that doesn't have Wi-Fi.

It is small and hardly sticks out of the USB port.  It even has Bluetooth.
