I have combed the posts here and have only found how to look in Windows 8 for Miracast capability. I originally purchased my Envy TS m6 KO22DX in 2014 with Windows 8.1 and upgraded to Windows 10 shortly thereafter. When I go to settings in Windows 10 >Devices, there is no option for "project", only "add device". Please advise the pathway in Wind 10.
I understand that Intel WiDi is discontinued and the app is no longer available. I have a LG Smart TV that instructs me to download the WiDi app on my laptop which I cannot do now. It also has a setting for Miracast in the Device connection section which when selected takes me to the ScreenShare window which is where I am instructed to download the WiDi app (again). Do I need to purchase a dongle because WiDi has been discontinued?
