I have HP Pavilion 15-e091s017, 4/500/WIN8-64, upgraded recently to 8/480(SSD)/WIN10-64. I can't create bluetooth connection between my labtop and my JBL Charge2+ bluetooth loudspeaker-microphone, not now and neither earlier before the labtop update.HP gives the following problem indication:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
The specified request is not a valid operation for the target device.
We have also Fujitsu labtop (older than HP) and the bluetooth connection works well bwtween Fujitsu and JBL. What might be the problem in creating the bluetooth connection between HP and JBL?

Hello Paul_Tikkanen,
Thanks for your quick reply! I am not a specialist wit computers and ICT in generlly, far from that! But would like to learn more and solve this problem! For this reason next questions:
1. From where can I find the model Wi-Fi adapter that is in my notebook? Is this info deep some where in my HP notebook? And if yes, how to dig it out?
2. From which reliable source can I find W10 Bluetooth driver for the model Wi-Fi adapter in my notebook?
3. Is there something special in installing the W10 Bluetooth driver for the model Wi-Fi adapter?
Wishing you a nive day!
You may have to install the W10 Bluetooth driver for the model Wi-Fi adapter your notebook comes with.

You're very welcome.
It is easy to find the model of the wifi adapter.
Go to the device manager.
Click to expand the Network adapters device manager category and there you will find the name and the model of the wireless network adapter as well as the ethernet adapter.
I wouldn't be able to give you a W10 Bluetooth driver until I know what model Wi-Fi adapter your notebook has.
HP used one of several different model Wi-Fi/Bluetooth adapters in the 15-e0xx model series.

Hello Paul_Tikkanen,
Thanks for your reply and clear steps to proceed! It has taken some time from me to study the case a bit and to write the message under with pictures.
I went to device manager and expanded the Network adapters device manager category. I found following:
1. The name and the model of the wireless network adapter: Ralink RT3290 802, 11bgn Wi-Fi Adaper
2. I checked also the Bluetooth category and found: Bluetooth 5 Realtek Adapter
3. I didn't find anything referring to the ethernet adapter. We have WDSL modem trough which the cable network in our house is connected to internet. I am conneted with cable to our cable network in our house.
I enclose a picture (1. picture) of the Device Manager if it helps you. I haven't found any switch in the netobook to turn the bluetooth on (somebody told me that in some notebooks such switch exsist).
I went also to Devices and Printers section. The Desktop picture with exclamation mark (2. picture) was strange and I tried to dig it a bit to find out the reason for the exclamation mark. I executed trobleshoot for the Desktop-.... and it gave 4 themes to trobleshoot (3. picture). The themes were and the troubleshoot results of them in pictures attached:
- PCI Simple Communcations Controller (4. and 5. picture)
- Realtek Bluetooth 5 Adabter (6. picture)
- Unknown device (7., 8. and 9. picture)
I didn't do any driver updates except the one which was done by Windows automatically (Unknown Device: We have installed the current drivers...) Windows 10 was updated into my notebook 3.2.2023, so not long time ago. In this context the conventional hard disk (500Gb) was replaced by SSD hard disk, 480 GB Crucial BX500.
I don't know if this excalamation mark on desktop picture has something to do with the bluetooth problem but maybe it is a topic which needs also corrective action. What is this PnP device? What could be the Unknown Device? New SSD hard disk?
I hope this helps you to help me out of these problems. Looking forward to yor reply!

Hi:
You must have a USB Wi-Fi adapter installed because the Ralink Wi-Fi card would have a Ralink Bluetooth device and usually that Ralink Bluetooth doesn't work on W10. It doesn't even show up in the device manager.
Your notebook's ethernet adapter is the Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller listed below the Ralink Wi-Fi adapter.
Do you know the model of the Realtek USB Bluetooth 5.0 device?
Their support site may have the drivers.
You also have optional drivers that can be installed according to your last screenshot, and perhaps that Realtek Bluetooth 5.0 driver you need is showing up there.
You need this driver for the PCI Simple Communications Controller:
Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63001-63500/sp63344.exe
The Unknown Device probably needs this driver:
HP 3D DriveGuard Software

Hello,
Thanks for really fast reply! I appreciate!
I don't know the model of the Realtek USB Bluetooth 5.0 device. Can it be found some where in the notebook?
I need to work on those things you wrote about. May take some time on this level of "expertice" I have!

You're very welcome.
Normally, there should be a brand name stamped on the outside of the USB adapter.
If not, you can post the hardware ID for the Realtek Bluetooth adapter.
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device.
How to Find Drivers for Unknown Devices in the Device Manager (howtogeek.com)
That way I can see if I can find a Realtek Bluetooth driver that would install a device with that ID.
