Elitebook 8440p does not show bluetooth turn oh. Is there a setting in bios or something else to do?

You're very welcome.

You don't need to take apart the notebook to see what model Wi-Fi adapter your notebook has.

Go to the device manager.

Click to expand the Network adapters device manager category and there you will find the name and model number of the wireless network adapter.

Not all 8440p's came with built in Bluetooth.

See if this works...go into the BIOS settings.

See if there is a setting for Bluetooth and if it indicates the BT adapter is present.

If it is and the setting is enabled, disable it, save the setting.

Restart the notebook, go back into the BIOS and enable the Bluetooth setting again and save it.

Restart the notebook and see if the Bluetooth adapter now show up in Windows.

Under bluetooth, "no device present".

Would a bluetooth dongle work? Never used one. Or some other remedy? I don't feel qualified to open up the back. Unless it's an easy thing.

Thanks
