Hi, I am currently between jobs - had been using pretty good business models but found myself needing something to tide over for applications/interviews etc. I got this model (cheapest in shop) HP 11 Stream laptop knowing that the performance would be very basic but realised after the fact that the usb c port won't actually work with my home docking station (Dell k17A). Has anyone figured out a work around? Thanks in advance!

Hi @gonemko,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are facing an issue with using a docking station on your Laptop.

To understand the issue and help you, please share the details listed below:

Note: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial number, phone number, email ID, etc., on your public post.

- Exact model number/product number(SKU number) of your HP Product (Click here for information on how to find the model number/product number).

- Are you able to use other USB devices when connected to the port?

- Depending on the laptop specifications, if the port does not support docking station. You wont be able to use it.

Take care and have a great day ahead!
