Hello, this is my first time being on this forum, I made this account in hopes I can receive fresh answers regarding this concern that I inserted a few screenshots of my laptop I owned for years. This is my hp EliteBook 8530w I owned and the problem is the wifi-internet. I manually tapped my finger on the orange wifi-signal icon near the power-on button and it won't turn blue and enable the wifi internet. Also, the internet has a prohibited icon that seems to not enable wireless access. It literally is turned off.
Does anybody know what the issue and how to resolve this matter? I want to have wireless internet back on my hp EliteBook 8530w. Thank you!

Hi
Sometimes re-installing the Wi-Fi button driver, or re-enabling in the BIOS helps.
Attached the Wi-Fi button driver as a zip file.
Your pictures take some hours to get approval, so I took a guess.

How do I re-install the Wifi-button driver? I don't want to risk messing up my laptop functioning. As for the BIOS, I checked the list options and everything seems okay. For odd reason, I think the internet wifi of my hp EliteBook 8530w is locked and turned off. It was working before the storm caused a power surge last 5 days ago then I shut off the laptop. Now the internet capability is turned off locked.
