My laptop keeps showing it's connected to the wifi but no internet. But even when it gets connected to the internet, it only lasts for a few seconds, and it won't go to certain websites and it would show, "this site is unreachable." I know the internet and wifi is working because all my other devices are connected to the internet and it's working. When I try to use usb tethering or hotspot with my phone, it would still show connected but no internet. When I use the Windows troubleshooting for network it shows I'm connected.

Here is a list of steps that commonly resolve issues with wireless connectivity.

Second option, is to try these steps:
Power cycle the network:
- Shut down your notebook.
- Unplug the power to your router.
- Unplug the power to your modem.
- Wait at least 45 seconds.
- Plug in the modem and wait for it to come back online.
- Plug in the router and wait for it to come back online.
- Turn on your notebook and test your connection.
Disable the Power Off option for the adapter:
- Open Device Manager. (Win Key+R > type devmgmt.msc > OK)
- Expand the Network adapters.
- Right click on the Ethernet/Wireless Adapter and click Properties.
- Click the Power Management tab.
- Remove the check mark beside Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
- Click OK.
- Test.
Reset the TCP/IP settings:
- Go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
- Right click on the command prompt icon and chose Run as administrator.
- In the window that opens type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" without quotes, and press enter.
- Restart your PC and test.
Reset the winsock catalogue:
- Go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
- Right click on the command prompt icon and chose Run as administrator.
- In the window that opens type "netsh winsock reset" without quotes, and press enter.
- Restart your PC and test.
Reinstall the network adapter drivers:
- Download the drivers from here (select the OS and its version) but do not run them yet.
- Go to your start screen/menu and type Device Manager.
- Expand Network adapters.
- Right click on the wireless adapter and choose Uninstall.
- Run the downloaded drivers from step 1.
- Restart your PC and test.
Test an ethernet connection:
Self-explanatory. Test if the issue persists on a wired connection to rule out the wireless adapter hardware so troubleshooting can be directed towards the right areas.
