My internet use to connect to my home wifi but my cousin upgrade to a different internet provider with what they say is a better internet now my laptop can not find the new wifi modem they provided, but  other wifi around the neighbors show up can some help me please and thanks?

Probably your machine only supports 2.4GHz networks. Please allow the new router to broadcast Dual bands which are 2.4GHz and 5.0 GHz. Your machine should be able to "see" 2.4GHz network and allow you to connect.
