@thrilok_3482, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

To successfully pair your HP 240 Bluetooth mouse with your HP Pavilion laptop, follow these steps:

Enable Bluetooth on Your Laptop:

  • Open the Start menu and go to Settings.
  • Click Devices.
  • Ensure that Bluetooth is turned on.

Prepare the Mouse for Pairing:

  • Turn on your HP 240 Bluetooth mouse.
  • Ensure the mouse is in pairing mode. Check the mouse manual for instructions on how to enter pairing mode, usually by holding a button or switch until the light flashes.

Pair the Mouse:

  • On your laptop, go to Bluetooth & other devices in the Bluetooth settings.
  • Click on Add Bluetooth or other device.
  • Select Bluetooth.
  • Your laptop will search for available devices. Select your HP 240 mouse from the list.
  • Follow on-screen instructions if prompted for additional pairing actions or passcode.

Complete the Pairing:

  • Once connected, your mouse should start working immediately.
  • If you encounter any issues, ensure both devices are within proper range and have sufficient battery.
