To troubleshoot the issue of your Burrows wireless mouse not connecting to your HP 15.6 Inch Laptop PC 15-D5000, follow these steps:
1. Check the Basics
- Ensure the Mouse is Powered On: Make sure the mouse has fresh batteries and is turned on.
- USB Receiver: If the mouse uses a USB receiver, ensure it is securely plugged into a USB port on the HP 15-D5000.
2. Verify Hardware Recognition
- Check USB Ports: Try connecting the USB receiver to different USB ports on your laptop to rule out any port issues.
- Device Manager:
- Open the Device Manager by right-clicking the Start button and selecting "Device Manager."
- Look for any entries under "Mice and other pointing devices" and "Universal Serial Bus controllers" to see if the mouse or USB receiver is recognized. If there's a yellow exclamation mark, it indicates a problem.
