A couple of months ago I could connect to WiFi without a problem.but then it stopped working.i only could connect to Ethernet.ive been using Ethernet for a while now but I still find wifi mord convenient. I tried uninstalling network drivers,Updating BIOS,and fn+f12. I also noticed the wireless button is orange.

Hi:

Check the BIOS and see if the wifi card is listed as present and enabled.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to see if installing the HP connection manager software, restarting the PC, and using the connection manager software to turn on the wifi card works.

This package provides the HP Connection Manager for the supportednotebook models and operating systems.

I was pretty sure that was the case, which is why I suggest you do as I posted earlier.

Check the BIOS settings to make sure the wifi card is present and enabled if such a setting exists.

If there is and the BIOS reports the wifi card is present and enabled, then install the HP connection manager software.

If that doesn't work, then the next step is to remove and firmly reseat the wifi card.

See the service manual for how to remove and replace the wifi card.  Chapter 4.

Try and leave the antenna cables connected when you do remove and reseat it to save time reinstalling the card.

If that doesn't work, then the wifi card will need to be replaced.

I checked BIOS it's a little confusing to me . I think that those settings don't exist.

Unfortunately, I don't know what the BIOS settings for your notebook look like, and there is no manual that shows them.

I have a HP Elitebook and it has enable/disable settings for the wifi, bluetooth, etc.

If your notebook does not have any settings like that, you will have to proceed to the other steps I wrote about.
