I either have the "£" sign or the hashtag sign but can never find the alternative. Without restarting, my keyboard now has the £ sign again and I am not sure how that happened. Got used to typing GBP instead of the £ sign. I have tried crtl + 3 and also alt +3 and neither work. Any advice??

@MandyK71
Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Let's change the keyboard layout to enable # instead of pound

  • > Go to Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region > Region and Language.
  • > Go to the Keyboards and Languages tab.
  • > Click the Change keyboards button under the Keyboards and other input languages section.
  • > From the Installed services list available in the General tab of the opened Text Services and Input Languages box, move the English (United States) language to the top.
  • > Click OK to save the changes and if needed, restart the computer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
