@Yuvraj179, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're having trouble connecting your HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15-ds1003ca to Wi-Fi on Windows 11, and it only works when using a VPN. Let's work through this together.
Run HP Network Check
HP provides a built-in tool to diagnose and fix network issues:
- Open HP Support Assistant (search for it in Start menu).
- Go to Troubleshooting and Fixes > Internet and Security > HP Network Check.
- Let it run and follow any recommended fixes.
If you don’t have HP Support Assistant, download it here: HP Support Assistant | HP® Support
Flush DNS and Reset Network Settings
Sometimes DNS cache or network settings can cause issues.
- Press Windows + X → select Windows Terminal (Admin).
- Run the following commands one by one:
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
Restart your PC.
Check DNS Settings
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Hardware Properties.
- Click Edit under DNS settings.
- Set it to Manual, enable IPv4, and enter:
- Preferred DNS: 8.8.8.8
- Alternate DNS: 8.8.4.4
- Save and reconnect to Wi-Fi.
Disable VPN Temporarily
If the VPN is required to access websites, your ISP or router may be blocking DNS or certain traffic. Try:
- Disabling VPN.
- Connecting to a mobile hotspot to test if the issue is with your home network.
Update Network Drivers
- Go to Device Manager > Network Adapters.
- Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter → Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers.
Or download the latest drivers from HP: Official HP® Drivers and Software Download | HP® Support
Check Router Settings
- Ensure your device is not blocked in the router admin panel.
- Restart your router and modem.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
