I have a Core i5 and my internet speed is 259mbs ,I have a i7 and I get 500mbs ,Why the difference ?

No, i have 2 laptops ,A 15 and a 17 inch,the 17 i5 gets 259 mbs and the 15 i7 gets 500 mbs ,Why the difference ?

Nothing to do with i5 or i7. They have 2 different wifi adapters one has slower wifi card and other has faster wifi card. You can make the slower one gets better speed by upgrading wifi card.

 

Depending on your machine but you can always do that. What is your machine ?

It ONLY has a slow 802.11b/g/n (1x1) Wi-Fi® and Bluetooth® 4.2 combo adapter, what is the other machine ?
