Hi @kw44,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To set up your HP OfficeJet 5252 All-In-One Printer with a new router and enable wireless printing, follow these steps:

Prepare for setup.

  • Make sure your new router is set up and connected to the internet.
  • Keep the network name (SSID) and password of your new router handy.

Power on the Printer.

  • Connect the printer to a power source and turn it on.

Connect to Wi-Fi.

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Setup or Network menu. The exact steps may vary, but look for options related to network setup.
  • Select the Wireless or Wi-Fi option, then choose "Wireless Setup Wizard" or "Wi-Fi Setup" (the names might differ).
  • The printer will search for available Wi-Fi networks. Select your new router's network from the list.

Enter Network Details.

  • If prompted, enter the password (Wi-Fi network key) for your new router's network. Use the printer's touchscreen or control panel to input the password.

Confirm Connection.

  • Once you've entered the correct password, the printer will attempt to connect to the Wi-Fi network. If successful, the printer will display a message indicating it's connected.

Print a Test Page (Optional).

  • You can print a test page to ensure that the printer is connected and working correctly.

Install Printer Software (Driver).

  • If you haven't installed the printer software (driver) on your computer yet, visit the official HP website and download the latest drivers for your HP OfficeJet 5252 printer model.
  • Install the driver on your computer following the on-screen instructions.

Select the Printer (Wireless).

  • Open any document or image you want to print and go to the Print dialog.
  • Make sure the HP OfficeJet 5252 is selected as your printer. It should appear with the networked or wireless designation.

Print Wirelessly.

  • Once you've completed the setup and selected the correct printer, click "Print," and the document should be sent to the printer wirelessly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
