HP Notebook - 15-f233wm (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP 15-r233wm and the WiFi works only occasionally. I’m wondering if I should replace the WiFi card or if it’s a software/setting issue. Where should I start?

It could be the Wi-Fi card.

The notebook probably has the latest driver installed which was from 2019.

This is the latest driver for the Realtek RTL8188EE Wi-Fi card:

You could install this model Wi-Fi card which also has Bluetooth, but it would also use the same old driver from 2019 and is still only a single band Wi-Fi card like the one you have now.

Any of those at the link below except the second one which is a M.2 form factor.

Your notebook uses the older style Half Mini Card (HMC) form factor.

Another option would be to purchase a dual band USB Wi-Fi adapter.

I use this model for example which is small and also has Bluetooth.
